A to Z of Documentary Making: From Creation to Distribution

Thursday 17th & Friday 18th March – 10am-5pm – £220

This comprehensive 2-day workshop with award-winning executive producer Tracey Gardiner (Grierson, Scottish BAFTA, Wincott) provides a detailed and practical guide on how to take an idea for a documentary from the early stages of development, through to the finished product and onto the international market.

Script Supervision and Continuity for Film & Television

Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th April – 10am-6pm – £250

Working closely with the Director, DoP, Sound, Camera, Make-Up/Hair, Wardrobe, and Art departments, as well as the actors, the Script Supervisor/Continuity Person is in a unique position to observe and support the creation of a film. The Script Supervisor is the technical safety net for the crew, responsible for ensuring that the footage delivered to the producers is in keeping with the approved script and contains the necessary elements for a successful edit.

Suitable for a variety of on-set professionals, including script supervisors, line producers and assistant directors, it is also ideal for anyone seeking a thorough insight into what the role entails. Click here for full course outline.

Factual Filmmaking with Ron McCullagh & Insight News TV

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th May 2011

Fee: £350 – includes all equipment hire

BAFTA, Rory Peck and Emmy award-winning journalists Ron McCullagh and Sorious Samura introduce the tools and techniques essential to making broadcast quality News features using the most basic equipment: a digital camera, a microphone and a light.
