The 18th Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival finished last month, and the winners were, as ever, an exciting and eclectic selection of some of the best short format work from the UK and beyond. This year, the festival occurred a little earlier than usual, but had no effect on attendance and it was great to be back at the Watershed, seeing some familiar faces again.

Our enormous congratulations go out to all of this year’s winners, whom we have listed in full, below.
