Calls For Submissons

The 21st edition of Raindance Film Festival is calling for entries. The festival will take place in London from 25 September – 6 October, 2013.

Raindance accepts shorts and features length work of any genre including fiction, documentary, experimental, animation, mockumentary and childrens’ films. All Feature Films need to be UK Premieres.

The early deadline is 17 April 2013, the regular deadline is 17 May 2013, the late deadline is 1 June 2013. Early entry is encouraged but in no way guarantees acceptance.

A number of jury prizes are awarded at the Raindance Film Festival: Best International Feature / Best UK Feature / Best Debut Feature / Best Documentary.

Raindance awards 3 prizes for Short Films during the Festival: Best International Short / Best UK Short / Short Film of the Festival. The winner is offered the chance to film next year’s Raindance Film Festival trailer. Recipients of Raindance’s ‘Film of the Festival’ prize will qualify for consideration in the Short Films category of the Annual Academy Awards.

Raindance is one of the largest independent film festivals in Europe. It provides a platform for indie filmmakers and promotes all aspects of independent cinema in the UK, from guerrilla-style no-budget shorts to international indie blockbusters.
