Shooting People have announced a brand new partnership for 2013, with Channel 4’s £2m Alpha Fund. Shooting People and Channel 4 will be on a mission together to meet the best new and emerging independent film creatives from across the land, at their established Shooters in the Pub networking events.
At a packed event at London’s ICA on 8th Jan, Shooting People and Channel 4 announced their mission to meet the best new and emerging independent film creatives from across the land, at Shooting People’s established Shooters in the Pub networking events. Listen to the full podcast from the session here, with insights from Ravi Amaratunga, Channel 4, Jordan McGarry from Vimeo, The British Council’s Will Massa, and Shooting People blogger and filmmaker, Ben Blaine.
Channel 4’s Ravi Amaratunga oversees strands such as Random Acts and The Shooting Gallery. He’ll be hitting the road with Sarah Chorley and Stephanie Walton from Shooting People, and introducing filmmakers, artists and animators in the UK regions to unique and exciting short form film opportunities at the broadcaster.
Each session will be followed by drinks, networking and discussion.
Key local film and cultural organisations will also be invited along.
