MyStreet is a living archive of the experiences and people of a place that means something to you. All videos are geotagged to a MyStreet map where anyone can find short docs around the world.
A UK shortlist is selected from our submissions (deadline 30 May 2014) by a jury chaired this year by Pawel Pawlikowski. Chosen work will be shown at the Open City Docs Fest (17-22 June 2014). Three prizes will be awarded with a 1st prize of £500.
MyStreet is your story, your patch, wherever and whatever that maybe. www.mystreetfilms.com
Submitted films are available to view online and act as part of the MyStreet community – an ever evolving slice of life, linked to the MyStreet map, searchable by postcode or town.
Each year, shortlisted MyStreet films are screened at the annual Open City Docs Fest – 17-22 June 2014. Three winners will be awarded prizes at the festival closing ceremony, including £500 for 1st prize.
The competition is open to people of all ages and nationalities, including non-UK residents. Submitted films can be in any style and format, including animations and films shot on mobile phones and must be between 1min and 10mins long.
Films can be uploaded to MyStreetlms.com from anywhere in the world and geo-tagged to the online MyStreet map.
But only films made in the UK between 1 June 2013and 19 May 2014 will be eligible for the competition and Open City Docs Fest screening.
The deadline for MyStreet submissions is 19 May 2014. Shortlisted filmmakers will receive an access-all-areas pass to Open City Docs Fest 17-22 June 2014, where their film will be screened as part of a special event.
