For Rushes Soho Shorts Festival 2010 we celebrated our 12th year.
The non-profit event took place from 21st to 30thJuly and is recognized as one of UK’s best Short Film Festivals, with an equal focus on emerging and established talent.
Initial requests and interest (for festival info Jan to May 2010) came from 1,665 cities across 112 countries. Filmmakers in 639 cities across 80 countries chose to consider entering the festival with filmmakers in 49 countries fully completing registration and submitting their work. 1,050 films were received, 170 of which have been chosen for competition, from 23 countries.

Apple Store Panels… In collaboration with the APA, ArtHertz, The Documentary Filmmakers Group, Nexus Productions, Radar, Promo News and Directors UK, 6 panel discussions will be held at The Apple Store in Regent Street.
Guest Programmes… 14 exclusive selections of film screenings including straight 8, Kerry Film Festival, Kerry Film Festival, Shorts Film Festival, Dazzle Films, Brighton University, Bornshorts, Best of Boroughs, Dorset Cereals and many more.
Shorts Film Festival (Australia)
Films included the record-breaking Evian Skating Babies ad (in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most-watched viral of all time) and Michel Gondry’s latest music video; actors such as Robert Pattinson (Twilight), Ian McKellen (Lord of the Rings), Camilla Rutherford (Gosford Park, The Darjeeling Limited), Celia Imrie (Cranford), Jenny Agutter (An American Werewolf in London), Iwan Rheon (Misfits), Talulah Riley (St Trinian’s), Jodie Whittaker (Perrier’s Bounty), and Michael Maloney (Truly Madly Deeply); music videos from Laura Marling to Faithless, Franz Ferdinand to Eminem, Plan B and Gorillaz; and many more.
